We have been joined by Belper poet Carol Brewer, who has organised a poet-tree festival commencing 17th April in St Peter's Churchyard for a month and then into the town centre as a trail from the Market Place to the Beaurepaire Gardens towards the end of June. Carol has been working with Jasper Ward and Andy Mayers in producing a book about the famous Belper Moo which will be published soon.
Woollen woods begins on May 15th. This year you will find all the hand made tree dwellers around the town centre. Belper Recorder Group will be performing an online play along on 22nd May.
Once restrictions are lifted we plan to have a few more events, initially outdoors. Hopefully by September we will be able have indoor events including a 2 day short play competition at the Lion Hotel. And of course Belper Artisans to be arranged.
You can keep in touch with all our events on our events page and our regular facebook posts. Thank you to the committee and supporters who are working hard to ensure belper fringe happens.
